Turmeric, the yellow spice are commonly used in Indian dishes, contains a phytochemical called Curcumin that may be able to reduce arthritis pain. Studies suggest that Curcumin helps to reduce joint inflammation and pain by inhibiting the expression of the COX-2 "pain" enzyme.
