Avocados are fruit from Persea americana, a tall evergreen tree that can grow up to 65 feet in height. Avocados are rich in nutrients such as Vitamin E, C, K, Bs, fiber and potassium. Researchers suggests that foods rich in vitamin E—including avocado, whole grain, seed, nuts as well as dark green leafy vegetables are associated with a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of dementia that cause the death of brain cells which lead to memory loss and cognitive decline.
