Empty belly, full brain

If you have a big decision to make today, you may need to hold off on lunch for a second. Dutch researchers found that we are more likely to make a smarter decision on an empty stomach. In the study, subjects who fasted before taking a series of tests made winning choices 50 % of the time, compared with only 40 % for subjects who ate a meal beforehand.
