Do you know that you only have a healthy fat profile if you have both subcutaneous fat and visceral fat percentage shown within a healthy range. People often see subcutaneous fat, but ignore the visceral fat. Subcutaneous fat (known as bodily fat or fat under skin) is different from visceral fat, which  maily presents in the abdominal cavity and around the various internal organs. Visceral fat also affects our overall health. Excess visceral fat can lead to metabolic problems and chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, fatty liver and diabetes. You should take note of the extra fat around your tummy, it is an indication of excess visceral fat.
