Recent research found that Capsaicin, the active ingredient in hot chili peppers that makes your mouth burn and gives the peppers their pungent odour, is able to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It was found that Capsaicin helps by interfering the protein synthesis of cancer cells, degradation of the cell DNA and cell transcription mechanisms of cancerous cells.
